A Soulful Christmas Concert
Gospel, Soul, and Real Community Stories in Historic Sistrunk
The holiday season is all about community, shared memories, and the powerful traditions that bring us together. If you are looking for a deeply moving and joyful musical experience right here in South Florida, a very special upcoming concert event deserves a spot on your calendar.
Presented by Hued Songs, the fourth annual Soulful Christmas: A Sistrunk Christmas Concert is coming for two nights only on December 11 and December 12 to the heart of Historic Sistrunk.
Rooted in History and Community
Held at the renowned African-American Research Library and Cultural Center, this event is much more than just a holiday show—it is a celebration of culture and local history.
Historic Sistrunk Boulevard is named in honor of Dr. James Franklin Sistrunk, a pioneering African-American physician who helped establish Broward County's first hospital for Black patients and played a vital role in shaping the civil rights era in Fort Lauderdale. Hosting this celebration of gospel, soul, and R&B in the historic Sistrunk neighborhood connects modern holiday joy directly to the deep-rooted heritage and resilience of the community.
What Makes Soulful Christmas Unique
Now in its fourth year, Soulful Christmas takes real-life holiday stories gathered directly from local community members and weaves them into a brand-new, soul-stirring concert experience.
Live Gospel, Soul, and R&B: Talented artists bring powerful vocals and rich instrumentation to the stage.
Personalized Storytelling: Because the music is built from actual community stories, no two years are ever quite the same.
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: It is designed to feel like home, welcoming families and music lovers of all ages for an unforgettable evening.
